Eligibility Requirements
Before you can register to vote, you must meet certain eligibility requirements. These include:- Being 18 years of age or older
- Being a citizen of the United States
- Not being convicted of a felony
- Living in the county where you are registering to vote
How to Register
There are several ways to register to vote. You can:- Register online at the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) website
- Register in person at your local election office
- Register by mail using a voter registration form
If you are not already registered to vote, you can use the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) website to register online. To do this, you will need to provide your name, address, date of birth, and other personal information. You will also need to provide a valid email address and phone number.
Once you have completed the online registration form, you will need to print it out and mail it to your local election office. You can also drop off the form in person at the election office. If you do not have access to a printer, you can call your local election office and request a mail-in registration form.
If you do not provide a PPS number on your registration form, you will need to provide a valid ID when you vote. Acceptable forms of ID include a driver's license, passport, or student ID card.
