The game was evenly poised for much of the first half, with both sides having chances to score. However, it was Barcelona who took the lead in the 29th minute when Sergio Ramos scored an own goal. The goal came after a cross from Ousmane Dembele, which Ramos misjudged and headed into his own net.
Sevilla equalised in the second half through Lucas Ocampos, but Barcelona regained the lead in the 79th minute when Jordi Alba scored a fine goal. The win was sealed in the 90th minute when Gerard Pique scored a third goal for Barcelona.
The win is a huge boost for Barcelona in their bid to win the La Liga title. They are now eight points clear of Real Madrid, who have a game in hand. Barcelona will be hoping to extend their lead at the top of the table when they face Villarreal on Sunday.
