Riot Vanguard: Virtualization-Based Security VBS Settings and More

Addressing the Concerns

Riot Games is committed to upholding the highest levels of competitive integrity in our games. That's why we created Riot Vanguard, our custom game security software. However, we understand that some players have had concerns about Vanguard and how it may impact third-party applications.

Virtualization-Based Security (VBS)

VBS is a security feature in Windows 10 that can help protect your computer from malware and other threats. However, VBS can also interfere with Vanguard's ability to detect and prevent cheating. If you're experiencing issues with Vanguard, we recommend disabling VBS. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Open the Windows 10 Settings app. 2. Click on "Update & Security". 3. Click on "Windows Security". 4. Click on "Device security". 5. Under "Core isolation", click on "Details". 6. Turn off the "Memory integrity" toggle.

Other Issues

If you're still experiencing issues with Vanguard, you can try closing all Riot Games processes, including Riot Vanguard, to see if that resolves the problem. You can also check our support page for more information on Vanguard: https://support-valorant.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/360048981953-Vanguard-FAQs We're always working to improve Vanguard and make sure it's as user-friendly as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
