Israel Adesanya reclaimed the UFC middleweight title with a stunning second-round knockout of Alex Pereira at UFC 276 on Saturday night in Las Vegas. Adesanya dropped Pereira with a left hook early in the second round and then finished him off with a flurry of punches on the ground.
Volkanovski Wins Trilogy Over Holloway
In the co-main event, Alexander Volkanovski retained his UFC featherweight title with a unanimous decision victory over Max Holloway. Volkanovski won the first two rounds of the fight and then held on to win the third round despite a late rally by Holloway.
Other Main Card Results
In other main card fights, Merab Dvalishvili moved closer to a title shot with a dominant win over Henry Cejudo. Dvalishvili controlled the fight from start to finish and won by unanimous decision. In the women's flyweight division, Taila Santos defeated Joanne Wood by split decision.
