Avengers 5 and 6 Titles and Directors Announced
The Russo Brothers, who directed Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, will return to helm the upcoming Avengers 5 and 6 films. Avengers 5, originally titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, has been renamed Avengers: Doomsday. The title Doomsday is a reference to the villain Doctor Doom.
Doctor Doom Cast
Marvel has cast Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday film. Downey Jr. is best known for his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His casting as Doctor Doom has raised some eyebrows, as the character is typically depicted as a villain.
In the comics, Doctor Doom is the monarch of the fictional nation of Latveria. He is a brilliant scientist and inventor, but he is also arrogant and power-hungry.
